Embassy of India, Berlin: Persons residing in the States of Berlin, Brandenburg, Sachsen, Sachsen-Anhalt, Thüringen and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern should apply for consular services in Embassy of India, Berlin.

Consulate General of India, Hamburg: Persons residing in the States of Hamburg, Bremen, Schleswig-Holstein and Niedersachsen should apply for consular services in the Consulate General of India, Hamburg.

Consulate General of India, Frankfurt: Persons residing in the States of Nordrhein-Westfalen, Hessen, Rheinland-pfalz and Saarland should apply for consular services in the Consulate General of India, Frankfurt.

Consulate General of India, Munich: Persons residing in the States of Bayern and Baden-Wuerttemberg should apply for consular services in the Consulate General of India, Munich.

• • Apply online on the respective Website/Portal (links of the respective website/portal under the respective tab of services).
• • Book an appointment using the link https://cgihamburg.gov.in/get-appointment.
• • Submit the hard copy of the application along with the requisite documents and fee in the Consulate General of India, Hamburg on scheduled date and time.

Applications that can be submitted in-person only:

• • Applications for Visa.
• • Applications for Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card.
• • Applications for Renunciation of Indian Citizenship.
• • Applications for Power of attorney/affidavits/declarations (Indian nationals).
• • All applications of minors for any consular services (Either of the parents can submit the application along with the authorization from the other parent + his/her original ID proof).
• • Applications for re-issue of passports due to Lost/Damaged/Change of appearance etc.
• • Application for Emergency Certificate.

Applications that can be submitted through Post:

• • Applications for re-issue of Passport for adults in normal cases.
• • Applications for Police Clearance Certificate (PCC).
• • Applications for Misc. services on Passport.
• • Attestation of German documents etc.

• • List of holidays is available in a separate tab.
• • Tatkal passport facility is not available services.

• • Normal working hours - 09:00 AM to 05:30 PM.
• • Timings for submission of applications for consular services - With appointment (Please book the appointment using the link https://cgihamburg.gov.in/get-appointment).
• • Collection of processed documents, Passports, OCI Cards etc. (without appointment) - 04:00 PM to 04:30 PM.
• • Timings of phone call for consular enquiries – Between 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM (Applicants should avoid status enquiries on phone calls as the same can be checked on the respective websites/portals).
