POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE

Please read the information given below to apply fora Police Clearance Certificate.

Applicants are requested to complete their application(s) by following the process mentioned below and send it to us by registered post (Einschreiben). Payment is accepted preferably through Bank transfer. Debit/Credit cards are not accepted. Bank detail is given below and may also be seen at https://cgihamburg.gov.in > Consular Services >Bank Details &Fee Structure. The application(s) shall be processed at the earliest after successful scrutiny of the supporting documents and on confirmation of deposit.

Following documents are required to be submit at the Consulate General of India, Hamburg to apply for a Police Clearance Certificate:-

 1. Prescribed Application form (duly online filled-up, printed and signed) available at https://portal6.passportindia.gov.in 

(Note: Applicants should follow "Steps to Apply" at the portal).

 2. Copy of Current Indian passport (Front and Back pages).

 3. Copy of current valid German Stay Permit (Aufenthaltstitel).

 4. Copy of Meldebecheinigung (City Registration) as proof of current address.

 5. Three(3) recent Photographs for passportmeasuring 5x5cm = (2"x 2") without border and showing full frontal view of the person's head and shoulders having a white or light colored background. No glare if wearing glasses. Female applicants should tie their hairs backward. Please refer to https://cgihamburg.gov.in > Consular Services >Passport Services > Photo specifications

 6. Fee Payable € 22.00 (€ 20.00 + € 2.00).

Additionally, please provide a self addressed envelope with postage stamps of € 4.25 (Registered post/Einschreiben) pasted on it along with the application to enable us to send your document(s) on completion of application process.

Note1: Applicants should mention (i) Name (ii) Application Ref. No. (ARN) and (iii) Services Applied for "Police Clearance Certificate" in Verwendungszweck while depositing the fee in Consulate’s Bank Account.

Note2: Applicants should provide proof of their fee deposit with their application(s).

NOTE: Police Clearance Certificate could be issued to an applicant only on receipt of a fresh Police Verification Report from India on his/her PCC application which usually takes 2 - 4 weeks.
